Hi, I only need help with the two entries, after the list of kinder.

Also what is the word after kinder 5 in the center column?

Good morning Kent,

The two notes after the list of the nine children refer to the illegitimate children of daughters 8 and 9 above:

First note (daughter 8): NB. Eva Katharina had illegitimately: Wilhelmine, born 13 Jan 1852, died 26 Jan 1852.

Second note (daughter 9): Friederike had illegitimately: Friederike, born 6 Aug 1860, 5:00 pm. Recognized/acknowledged v. M_____?, volume II, page 340. [You'll want to find this entry on page 340 in volume 2 to see if this child's paternity is acknowledged by the father.]

I am unable to decipher the word in the baptismal column for child no. 5.

Robert Seal_1 Yes, it is very hot today. Too hot for working in the yard. Wow 102 is cookin'. You have peeked my interest in this family and I will find the other familybuchs that fit with the Kruss family. It is supposed to cool off a bit next week. I keep walking out and checking my tomato plants to see how they are doing. The frost killed my peach and apricot blossoms but we are hopeful in the tomatoes. KG

Hi Kent,

Yes, there is NOTHING like home-grown tomatoes. So much better than what you can buy in the grocery store. 102 is not too bad for here -- but wait until August when we usually hit between 105 and 110 in the mid and late afternoon.

Robert Seal_1 And yet people in northern Utah talk about St. George with religious respect like it is some kind of nirvana. My brother in Diamond Bar says he needs to water his lawn daily in the summer to keep it alive. Seems extreme to me but there you have it. KG
