Need help translating a record and trying to figure out how it all connects
I am trying to see if this record has any clues in it that could help me piece my family together. A researcher in Poland sent me this record a while back and the only part he translated was "The Unmarried Caroline Buchholz from Bialozewin, the youngest daughter of the deceased Johann Buchholz who died in Biskupin."
This record says that Caroline's husband Stephan's dad was named Friedrich--but I have a bunch of records (I will attach a couple--you all translated them for me and can't thank you enough) about a miller/farmer August Bleich married to a Dorothea Thews--the couple had 4 sons and 2 daughters. So I am trying to figure out, if Stephan's dad could be this same August Bleich and his name was Friedrich August Bleich or something like that???? Thank you so so much for your help!

Have you checked Trees of other people? Ancestry, My Heritage, for example? Have you done DNA to connect with relatives that might have that information or a family bible? I love Public Member Trees in Ancestry to check out things like that. Many times people used their middle name instead of their full name--I did for years. Family history can be a frustrating and rewarding thing. It took me over 40 years to find my grandmother's biological father (she was illegitimate), and she knew his name and a lot about him.
This comment will bump you up to the top of the Discussions. I wish you great luck and patience in finding the information for which you seek. PaulaAnn

Thank you so much! I am working with one family from Ancestry Family trees--but they aren't that far back on their tree. Such a good idea to pursue that route.

@kellerkatielorraine1 I don't think that Stephan Bleich's father, Friedrich Bleich, can be the same person as August Bleich, because Stephan Bleich got married in 1857, and his marriage record shows that his father, a miller, Friedrich Bleich, was already dead then (he died in Sazdvoze), whereas August Bleich's death record shows that he died in 1859 (he died in Znin).

You are a miracle worker! Oh bless you for your kindness in piecing that together! I did not realize the marriage record had said that his dad had already passed--couldn't have figured that out without your help! Thank you so much!
