Agatha Knupfer Cause of Death

I'm trying to decipher the cause of death listed for Agnes Knupfer, 1827 line 2. I believe it says "nach einer schmerz? Geburt" = "after a painful birth" (?) but I haven't been able to figure out the first word that looks like "?rund".

Could the first letter of the first word be a capital "W" making the word: Wund = sore?

This would make the entire phrase read: Wund nach einer schmerzlich Geburt = sore after a painful childbirth.

What do you think?

I do see that the first letter could be a capital "W" but "sore after a painful childbirth" seems slightly odd as a cause of death. According to the dictionary, "wund" (sore) is an adjective whereas "Wunde" is a noun meaning "wound" or "injury", which would make somewhat better sense, but there is no "e" at the end of the word.

2 Stund nach einer schmerzlichen Geburt

2 hours after a painful delivery

(I would say it was a difficult and painful delivery)
