I would recommend doing DNA testing. AncestryDNA is the largest database and would likely provide more DNA matches.

I am in a similar situation. Looking for grandfather’s bio parents. Didn’t know he was adopted until after he and my parents passed. I finally got one match on Ancestry that lists us as first cousins once removed.I have been in contact with her many times and we are convinced that our link is through her grandfather, but she did not know him well. We have found the grandfather and his 6 siblings, but have had no success with identifying which one might have been my grandfather’s mom or dad. What a puzzle. Wishing you luck.

If you tested with AncestryDNA, I would be glad to help you look at your DNA matches to try and determine your biological father. My email is bryajw2@hotmail.com

If you can get to your AncestryDNA results, click on DNA, Your DNA Results Summary, then Settings. Under Sharing Preferences you can add my email bryajw2@hotmail.com. A message will be sent to your email to verify, and then I can accept the invitation.
