Gefreiter der Luftwaffe = private of the air force

Bauingenieur = construction engineer

Elektrotechniker = electrician

I thought it was Luftwaffe. The abbreviations confuse me.

And that is the first time I've seen a woman with an occupation.

Hello Martha,

I think "Elektrotechniker" is probably the civil occupation of Peter. For a woman it would be "Elektrotechnikerin".
