Is there a resource which gives the parent-child relationship for Catholic Parishes in Westphalia?

I am researching Scheidingen Catholic Parish records which begin in 1691. Did the village belong to another Catholic Parish before 1691? If so, how do I find the name of the Catholic Parish from which the Schedingen Parish was formed?

The church in Scheidingen dates back to the 13th century, so the parish is older than of 1691. Most probably church books before 1691 have been lost and are not available any more.
