Removing a brick wall in Hull Yorkshire
I am unable to find where my 7x grandfather was born. He was married in 1756 at holy trinity church Hull ,to Elizabeth Waff of Stepney middlesex in June 1756 and recorded as born in 1733.
Were the records prior lost since parish records record no earlier Akesters?

I see your ancestor was Robert Akester, but do not see a 1733 birthdate for him (that appears to apply to another individual on the "results" page.
There are a number of possibilities in Find My Past - I do not have a subscription, but searched the index as I am a registered user. For age, the best match is for a Robert Acaster baptised at Warmfield, Yorkshire in 1724, but that is about 54 miles from Hull. There is a 1740 baptism at North Cave (16mls away), but that would make him around 16 in 1756. The other entries would mean he married at comparitively late in life, as they are for: 1708 North Newbald (about 15mls from Hull), 1703 Aberford and 1705 Sherburn in Elmet (the latter two being over 50mls from Hull).
Of course (like his wife) he might not have been born / baptised in Yorkshire (to where I confined my search), but there are bound to be missing periods from more local registers for this period, so it might be impossible to trace a baptism event for him.
Update - Oh, I see you got his approximate year of birth from details of his second marriage. (I found his ID, with sources, in Family Tree.) A further FMP search - this time for +/- 5years of 1733, for the whole of England - produced no results. So it appears (unless the name has been transcribed very badly) it is just one of those "missing" records we all face when going back to this period.
One further search produced 1738 baptisms for Thomas & William and 1729 for Sarah Akistor at Hotham (18mls from Hull) and an1738 baptism for John Akister at North Cave. The only other 1720/30s baptisms again being at Sherburn in Elmet (1729 Elizabeth & 1730/31 Samuel Acaster).
As you state in a note against supposed father John Akester: "No evidence to link John Akester of Pontefract to Robert Akester married in Holy trinity Hull." I agree this does seem to be a dubious link.

Thank you Paul,
I confirm I assume his date of birth from both his first and second marriages ( Elizabeth Waff 1756 and Ann Holdsworth 1781)at Holy Trinity church Hull. There were Akester’s in Beverley, sculcoates, hessle and some name variations Acaster , Akister which I have attempted to trace without success. It appears that nearby parish records do not go back much before the 1750s.
There are Akester records in pontefract, westmorland, aberford but no link, and they seemed too far away.
Robert is recorded as a tailor but I could not find any apprenticeship records ,interestingly the earliest Akester in Beverley ,William born 1741 ,is recorded as a tailor.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried a different tack to Paul searching on Ancestry. Unfortunately nothing useful emerged. Several users there have linked him to John and Margaret. As you have commented, this seems implausible as Badsworth - the place of marriage - is some 40 miles from Hull. In my experience too many people link records solely on the basis of names and dates with no regard for geography and then others blindly copy it.
You state that nearby parish records tend not to go back before the 1750s. Without checking, this surprises me. I accept that some parish records have been destroyed or lost. Even here sometimes these can be replaced by use of Bishop's Transcripts. Where have you checked? If you have not already done so, it is worth looking up parishes at the FS Catalogue to find what is available via FS. You can also look for places in the Wiki which usually gives information on availability of parish records not just from FS.

Thank you Graham,
I have researched family search and holy trinity has a gap 1723 to 1761 where there are no parish records. I could find no Robert Akesters or variants in the neighbouring parishes and bishops transcripts in Borthwick. I have tried Yorkshire and England prior to 1756 with no luck. I agree with you some of the trees are poorly verified,no birth or marriage records so Badsworth is ignored as also Pontefract, westmorland .

If you have a Facebook account I have found this group really useful in finding difficult to trace records. Might be worth a try.
