Were the baptism witnesses the same for Barbara, Christina, Charlotte, and Anna Marie Rauch?
Were the baptism witnesses the same for my four grandaunts?
The baptism records are attached for each Anna Marie (L17F-QGL), Charlotte (L17F-HV4), Barbara (LBQZ-3G9), and Christina (LBQZ-S26) Rauch. The source is the Württemberg, Germany, Lutheran Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, 1500-1985 database found on Antestry.com
Would someone please translate each record? I am trying to determine if the witnesses were the same for each daughter.
Thank you so much for your time

Robert Seal_1, Thank you very much.
Can you tell me, if Johannes / Anna Marie was a widower / widow, would that be detailed instead of them being listed as "single"?
I believe Johannes is Martin's father and Anna Marie is Charlotte's mother. If they were both "single" at the time of the girl's baptisms, that would give me a time frame to estimate the death of their respective spouses. Is that reasonable?
Would you think the same database would have Johanne's marriage record and his wife's death?
All four girls migrated to the USA. It is interesting that on two have it noted on their records
Thank you again for your time.

Hello @Kelly Rauch Hawver,
Each of these translations is a complete translation. I did not find the words "widow" or "widower" in any of the records. Generally if either of the baptismal sponsors were widowed, that would have been indicated in the record.
The German word "ledig" translates as: single, unmarried.
Yes, the same database would perhaps have records for other members of both families.
Regarding both baptismal sponsors: Have you considered that they might be sibilings of the parents making them uncle and aunt to the four children?

Yes, that is what I now believe since you confirmed that about the "Single" description. I have no idea how many siblings either Martin or Charollote had. Guess I've got some work to do!
Thank you!

You're welcome, Kelly. The "Württemberg, Germany, Lutheran Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, 1500-1985" database on Ancestry will hopefully prove useful in your research.
