How/where to find birth record for Nakla (Nakel)/Parchowo (Parchau) 1804?
I have tried to ask this question in the "Polish Group", but I got the advice to try this group instead. So here I am 😉!
I will try to explain my problem and why I need some help. 🤔:
My great-grandfather, Johann Jacob Grischewski (also named Jaruschewski), lived most of his life in Danzig - Heubude (Stogi). He passed away in 1894 in Heubude about 90 years old!
According to his death certificate ( I'll attach that and the link below), he was born in "Nakel kreis Bütow", he was a Catholic , and according to his age that means he was born about 1804.
From 1806 I think Nakel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakla) was registered under the church-books of Parchau (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parchowo ) kreis "Karthaus" (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20242018 ).
Then to the problem: Where do I find birth-records for Nakel in the period before 1806??
I come to understand that the area was annexed by "Kingdom of Prussia" in 1772, but I don't know if that had an impact on churches and church records.
I do appreciate if anyone can help me find ,or give me some advice in where to search for , this birth certificate!
Best regards
Harald Edvardsen

I found the following webpage for Nakel: http://westpreussen.de/pages/forschungshilfen/ortsverzeichnis/details.php?ID=4475, which lists as catholic church Parchau. Clicking on the name "Parchau" brings up an overview of the church books and their location. Baptisms (Taufen) for 1804 should be available at the Diözesanarchiv Pelplin and the Bischöfliches Zentralarchiv Regensburg

@Harald Edvardsen We are so glad you have joined our German community - It is a great place to get help and to help others! We have a lot of talented, experienced participants here.
Most of the time, it is best to use "ask a question" - do this by selecting the arrow to the right of "new discussion". Asking a question allows you to accept the answer or let us know you would like more help.
I will mark my response as a rejected answer because it only gives you some tips, not an answer to your question - then this will continue showing as an unanswered question and it should get more attention that way.
Be sure to review the links at the top of our community page for some great resources. We look forward to hearing from you. We are so glad you are part of this great community!
Thanks for being patient as we sometimes must wait for a response to come from a volunteer with the needed skill set. It is always good if you include the identification number of the person in question in Family Search Family Tree so we can see the bigger picture.
We look forward to your comments and questions.
Enjoy today! Cindy Jarvis
