Almost without exception people married others who were within walking distance from their hometown. The Graben records do show a lot of people who worked on carts or wagons which required horses but on another line I worked on in Ottenbach, Switzerland the only two people who had a horse were the doctor or the Priest. If they needed a horse to work their crops they borrowed from the army.
Thanks Robert!
