@Ulrich Neitzel Here's the lengthy death record for my 4th GGF in 1836. I think I have a good grasp on the key points, but would appreciate if you could fill in the fine details. Sometimes those details are the "hidden gems" of information.

Jessen. On 25 Jul 1783 he married Catharina Margaretha Jacobsen (__?__ Thomsen), legitimate dau. of the Hüfener Jacob Thomsen of Saustrup und Maria Christina geb. Schmid, [Catharina] geb. 22 Feb 1761 and [died?] 22 Dec 1820 ……. [4 surviving children?] I. Jacob Friedrichsen, Hüfener in Böhl …….. married Maria Dorothy Andersen, [Jacob] geb. 25 Jan 1791…. two [surviving?] children: Christina Margaretha and Anna Maria. II. Claus Friedrich Friedrichsen, geb. 6 Jan 1796 …… and married 1. Maria Christina geb. Carstensen of Scheggeroth and 2. Anna Christina geb. Hinrichsen of Grünholz ………….. Claus Friedr. Friedrichsen the Hüfener in Gammelbye. [NOTE: Claus & Anna had a son Claus Friedr, b. 1829. Does this one line indicate he was the only surviving child as of father Friedr's death in 1836?] III. Christina Margaretha Friedrichsen, geb. 5 May 1798, married the Hüfner Jacob Tordsen? of Ahnebye, nine children ……….. IV. Maria Catharina Friedrichsen, geb. 25 Sep 1800, married the Miller Peter Heinrich Seemann in Schalebye, ??? children. [Friedrich’s age at death] 77 yrs, 8 mths, 2 days ……. 4 children and 24 [grandchildren?].

Friedrich Friedrichsen, gestorben zu Schalebye u. seinem Willen gemäß hier im väterlichen Begräbnisse begraben, als vormaligem, viel__ühriger(?) Hufner in Böhl. Er war geboren 1759, d. 25ten März. Sein Vater war Claus Friedrichsen, Hufner hierselbst; seine Mutter Christina Margaretha geb. Jessen. 1783 25 Juli trat er in die Ehe mit Catharina Margaretha Jacobsen (eigentl. Thomsen) des Hufners Jacob Thomsen zu Saustrup u. Maria Christina geb. Schmid ehel. Tochter, welche 1761 d. 22 Febr. geboren war und 1820 d. 22 Dec. (s.d.TodtR) verstarb.
Aus dieser Ehe leben folgende 4 Kinder:
1) Jacob Friedrichsen, Hüfner in Böhl u. Besitzer des väterlichen Erbes, verheiratet mit Maria Doroth g. Andersen, geboren 1791 25 Januar. Zwei Töchter leben: Christina Margaretha u. Anna Maria.
II) Claus Friedrich Friedrichsen, geb. 1796 6. Januar und verheiratet 1) zum 1tenmal mit Maria Christina geb. Carstensen aus Scheggeroth, aus welcher Ehe ein Kind lebt. 2) zum 2tenmal mit Anna Christina geb Hinrichsen aus Grühnholz. Aus dieser Ehe leben neun Kinder, eins ist gestorben. Claus Friedrich Friedrichsen ist Hufner in Gammelbye.
III) Christina Margaretha Friedrichsen, geb. 1798 5. May. verehelicht an den Hufner Jacob Tordsen in Ahnebye, wo neun Kinder im Leben sind; eins ist gestorben,
IV) Maria Catharina Friedrichsen, geb. 1800 25. Sept. verehelicht an den Müller Peter Heinrich Seemann in Schalebye, wo drei Kinder vorhanden sind. Bei dieser seiner Tochter verstarb der Selige in einem Alter von 77 Jahr und 8 Mon ./. 2 Tag ejusdem er 4 Kinder und 24 Enkel hinterließ.

Friedrich Friedrichsen, died at Schalebye and according to his will was buried here in his father's grave, as a former, ___?) farmer in Böhl. He was born in 25 March 1759. His father was Claus Friedrichsen, Hufner here; his mother Christina Margaretha née Jessen. On 25 July 1783 he married Catharina Margaretha Jacobsen (actually Thomsen), legitimate daughter of the Hufner Jacob Thomsen of Saustrup and Maria Christina née Schmid, who was born 22 February 1761 and died 22 December 1820 (see the death registry).
From this marriage the following 4 children live :
1) Jacob Friedrichsen, Hufner in Böhl and owner of the paternal inheritance, married to Maria Doroth née Andersen, born 25 January 1791. Two daughters live: Christina Margaretha u. Anna Maria.
II) Claus Friedrichsen, born 6 January 1796 and married 1) for the 1st time with Maria Christina née Carstensen from Scheggeroth, from which marriage one child is living. 2) for the 2nd time with Anna Christina née Hinrichsen from Grünholz. From this marriage new nine children are living, one has died. Claus Friedrich Friedrichsen is a farmer in Gammelbye.
III) Christina Margaretha Friedrichsen, born 5 May 1798 May, married to the farmer Jacob Tordsen in Ahnebye, where nine children are living; one has died.
IV) Maria Catharina Friedrichsen, born 25 September 1800, married to the miller Peter Heinrich Seemann in Schalebye, where three children are present. Here, with this his daughter the blessed died at an age of 77 years and 8 months minus 2 days. He left behind 4 children and 24 grandchildren.
Comment:
It is clear now that Friedrich Friedrichsen's wife Catharina Margaretha had actually ("eigentlich") the family name Thomsen, as inherited from her father Jacob Thomsen, but still used the patronym Jacobsen.

@Ulrich Neitzel Thanks for the time you spent translating that long death record. That provided some insight I had not known before. Also, thanks for providing the transcription. I can use that as a comparison guide to help me get better at reading the old German handwriting.
