Death of soldier in 1870???
This death record for a son of my 3rd GGP suggests he died in a military hospital on 15 Dec 1870. Would someone please fill in the details?
The soldier [Soldat] Peter Friederichsen [sic] …………… legitimate son of der … Claus Friederich [sic] Friederichsen [sic], …… Gammelbye und Anna Christina geb. Hinrichsen. Died in a military hospital in “Nancÿ” ……….. 15 Dec [1870] ……… 34 years old ……… 10 …. 5 ….

The soldier [Soldat] Peter Friederichsen [sic] in the 9. company of the holsteinian infantery regiments 85 legitimate son of the late Claus Friederich [sic] Friederichsen [sic], Hüfner in Gammelbye und Anna Christina geb. Hinrichsen. Died in a military hospital in “Nancÿ” - death certificate from the war lazarette in Nancy 15 Dec [1870] from chief physician Nürkel. 34 years old - has served 10 years 5 month
Note: Both sons died obviously in the Franco-Prussian (or Franco-German) war 1870/71, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco-Prussian_War
