What does the information on right column say?
Hello, would someone be able to translate the information on the right column for me? This is a birth record for Rosa Burger, daughter of Max & Emma Priess, who at the time of her birth her parents were not married. I can see several dates written but do not know what they mean. I am looking for information about their marriage.
An exact translation would be great.
Thank you.

Hello @Bevis Pruett
here comes the translation of the right column:
first notice:

Thank you so much for this translation.
Am I to understand the their marriage took place on 23 April 1879, in Kiel, or that they presented their marriage certificate on that date to the registry office? What do you think?
I am looking for the parents of Emma and hoping her marriage certificate will mention them.
This couple, after having their third child, immigrated to the U.S. and I am their gg-grandaughter.

Hello @Bevis Pruett
yes, the date is the marriage date at the Standesamt (registry office) in Kiel.

Also, I see the name Priess written on the bottom of the left column. What does that paragraph say? Does it mention anything more about Emma? Maybe where she was from?

The sentence is: The midwife named van der Smissen stated that she had been present at the delivery of Priess.
(In this case the midwife was the person who registered the birth with the Standesamt. Commonly this was done by the child's father.)
The record does not offer more information about Emma, except for her address, which is Altona, Schulterblatt , Hof 61. Today this is part of the city of Hamburg.

Be sure to review the links at the top of our community page for some great resources. We look forward to hearing from you. We are so glad you are part of this great community!
Thanks for being patient as we sometimes must wait for a response to come from a volunteer with the needed skill set. It is always good if you include the identification number of the person in question in Family Search Family Tree so we can see the bigger picture.
We look forward to your comments and questions.
