I recently heard at the FamilySearch Center that something new is in the pipeline that would allow merging a deceased person with the same person, marked living, in an effort to find that person that has not yet been changed to deceased in other's FamilyTree. Can anyone comment on this change?

@GalerGlennStephen That seems highly improbable. If I understand the rumor correctly, that would involve giving one user visibility into the living person profiles belonging to another user. That would be a violation of account privacy.

I am of the same opinion as Alan Brown. I have not heard anything like this and think it highly unlikely.
