Why do Users in the United States of America, get a Full RootTech2026 Banner, at Log In, as opposed to Other Countries?
Example
USA

image.png

RootsTech takes the Whole Top part
Whereas,
Downunder

image.png

RootTech is just a Little Green Band, part way down, easy to miss.
Please advise/explain, why the difference.
Aren't we ALL part of FamilySearch?
Isn't FamilySearch supposed to be International?
RootTech is certainly International.
Or, has this to do with the Preferences of Area authorities again, like what appears on the Home page?

    Interesting point. Is this a case of 'We are all equal, but some of us are more equal than other'?

    A famous paradox, from George Orwell's, Animal Farm.
    Love it.
    So true.
    It certainly will be interesting, to see what spin, is put on it.

    Maybe the banner sizes are based on the likelihood of a country's genealogists participating in RootsTech? I know it's on and I seriously don't want to see it continually advertised

    @Adrian Bruce1
    Countless Users from all over the Pacifica area participate in RootTech.
    Many from Downunder (ie. Australia & New Zealand) alone.
    Not to mention, all the Other Countries in the Pacific area, including countless Members of the Church.
    Many of us know that RootTech is on; but, often need reminding, we're not all Experienced or the more active Users, many are casual Users.
    The choice, to not want to see, RootsTech advertised, is yours, of course.
    I am sure, that many Experienced and the more active Users, feel the same way.
    Perhaps, FamilySearch should ADD, a Check Box, to DISMISS, the RootsTech advertisement, if one so desires.
    But, regardless, RootTech is International, we (around the World) should All see the SAME Banner, as that which appears, on the Log In, for those in the United States of America.
    Again, another thing that Area authorities should have no control over; EXCEPT, of course, those Countries where obvious Restrictions apply.

    Is this supposed to be for real?
    Come on!
    Compared, to the Home page, of the United States of America
    @Adrian Bruce1
    Suppose, at least, there is a Dismiss option.

    I notice there is now a pop-up box about Rootstech on the page for Australia, screen shot may or may not appear. Perhaps Jenny.B's post has led to this?

    @MaureenE123
    That pop-up, was not there yesterday, when I made that comment, with the new Image.
    But first thing today, there was a pop-up; but, it disappeared when we started to take a screen shot.
    Still, we do not get, the RootTech2026 Banner, at the top, on the Log In screen, that those in the United States of America get.
    Plus, that same pop-up, appeared on the Log In screen, that those in the United States of America.
    Problem is, the pop-up, only seems to appear, the first time someone logs in (probably) that day.
    Have not been able to replicate pop-up today.

    Hey.
    Why isn't, this Post, Reappearing, at the Top, of the Lists, of either, the Recent Discussion; or, the General Questions, when someone Comments?
    Such, has always happened, to all Other Post, I have made.
    We, particularly noticed this yesterday, when I made my Comment.
    But, we think, this was happening, the previous few days, before.
    This fact, was particularly evident, when @MaureenE123, made her Comment, today.
    We, did not see, the Post, Reappear, at the Top, of the Lists, of either, the Recent Discussion; or, the General Questions, after her Comment.
    We, only notice, there was even a Comment, after it showed up, as a Notification, next to the Bell.
    What is going on?
    Why is this Post, Different, to Other posts?
    Please investigate and explain.
    Thanks.

    1-Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding the different homepages. I’d love to offer a bit of clarification on how homepage content works across different regions.

    Each area of the world manages its own homepage and can tailor it to the needs and interests of the people in that region. These decisions are made locally—not by the North America team or by Salt Lake. In fact, many areas specifically request the ability to highlight content that is unique to their region rather than being forced to follow a North America–focused model.

    We’ve shared your feedback with the team responsible for the homepage in your area so they can review it directly. Thank you again for taking the time to express your thoughts.

    2-We are looking into the issue of posts not appearing in Recent Discussions. Thanks for letting us know. Sam ☺️
