@Brian24990 You may want to try posting this in the England Research Group.

@Brian24990 Finding pictures of our ancestors is such a treasure. I want to help you by asking you a few follow up questions:

    • I see that he is on your tree LZT1-J5Z
    • You have about a half dozen people beside yourself who have contributed sources or made changes to Charles's person page. Have you reached out to any of them to see if they have any pictures?
    • There appears to be several websites and organizations that may be able to help you.
      • SerraNola offered that the England Research Group may be helpful.
      • You may also want to do a google search for the East Surrey Regiment
      • Croydon Roll of Honour (1914-1918)
      • WWI photos
      • newspapers or Faces of the Fallen in Findmypast.co.uk
    • Some search tips may be:
      • Use the surname only and then add initials and his full name
    • National Archives and Surrey History Centre may also have photos. This may require you to email them with the full name, regiment, home town, and occupation.
    • Facebook Groups may also be helpful using the same categories.
      • Post his full name, regiment, Croydon connection, and approximate enlistment years.

I hope you find some of these suggestions helpful. Happy Hunting!
