I invited, and accepted my brother to join my "group tree" be he cannot see my tree with all its filled in ancestors, only a single entry for himself alone. We both clicked some permission to "see" each other, but still no link-up from him to my administered tree. How do I get family members to link and see the tree I have made?

@C.M.96 can I just check please that you have populated your FGT with the living people from the 'private' part of your tree? This does not happen automatically.

@C.M.96 Did you receive an answer to your question? Maybe @MandyShaw1 was able to get you going in the right direction.

I found this information while trying to answer your question. I have also reached out to some people with much more experience to see if they will answer you. The group tree allows members to see living people and connect them to deceased ancestors. If your brother has not linked his personal profile to the shared, deceased ancestors in the system, the tree will appear empty.  Ask your brother to click on his own profile in the group tree, select View Person, and then look for options to add his direct relatives. This should then link him to his shared, public, and deceased relatives in the tree. Knowledge article.

Two questions I can think of.

    1. As Mandy asked, above, Did you COPY your living relatives to your family group tree? (yes you will be making duplicates!)
    2. Is your brother actually going to your group tree and not the FamilySearch Tree?

Screenshots of what you are seeing and what your brother sees would help us to diagnose the problem. Make sure you show the whole screen!
