Attempting to sever a child parent relationship

I am attempting to remove the parent-child relationship for K2P4-3K9 Robert Samuel Morrow. I have attempted this three times with no confirmation or obvious effect.

Does this type of change need some oversight approval that delays the process?

The result of this change will be the Robert will have no relationship to anyone. Is that a possible issue?

Prior to this attempted change, I successfully merged this person with another and added an explanatory note as to why the parent were wrong. Is that a possible problem — making a lot of changes all at once?

    @Tod63
    Good morning
    I just detached the parents from K2P4-3K9 without a problem.

    If you were attempting to use the reason statement I saw in the log, it may have been longer than that space permits.

    Hope this helps!
