Problem searching records

Seems to be a glitch and I'm wondering if it is on my end, or if others are experiencing it also. When I try to search records, part of the url flashes, apparently changing between two different values, a dialog box pops up and quickly disappears (less than one second) and the page never loads. This happens whether I am trying to use the record search through the menu or through a person page.

This is the part of the url that changes. It flashes between "20" and something I can't read but looks like A and another character.

@Stacey Cracker4Life Have you tried using a different browser or clearing the FamilySearch site-specific cookies in your preferred browser? That's usually the first step in troubleshooting a problem.

I've been on the site most of the day, and I've experienced no problems such as you describe.

Another thing that could be tried if this happens again, is to try opening up your browser in Incognito or Private mode. This opens up a session without accessing any history or cookies, so it's almost like clearing your browser's cache, without actually clearing the cache. Then go to FamilySearch and see if the problem happens again. If the problem does not happen, then next time you go to FamilySearch normally, you could clear the cache. You'd have to re-enter stored passwords and logins after doing that, however.

Clearing FamilySearch site-specific cookies does not remove stored passwords or logins.

No, but clearing the browser's entire cache would remove the passwords and logins stored. But that's if removing the cookies doesn't solve the problem. Sometimes there is data stored beyond the cookies that can cause issues.

I just deleted the Family Search cookies, and logged in again. Everything works perfectly now.
