Hello,

If I find a book in the online catalog that is in the FamilySearch library in Salt Lake, can I ask the librarian that helping me with my 20 minute live online consultation to pull that book from the library, make a copy, and send it to me? I wouldn't ask them to do any research for me, but If I can tell them "I need entries for John Doe out of this book, call # ____," would they pull it, scan it, and email it to me?

Thanks, Jim

The Frequently Asked Questions section for consultations may be helpful https://www.familysearch.org/en/library/online-consultations

Can I schedule a consultation to view records I can't see for myself?

Due to contractual obligations, we cannot show any restricted records. Some contracts permit the sharing of a few records. For tips for reviewing restricted materials click the following links: Tips for viewing restricted books, and Tips for viewing restricted microfilms.

If you want to share the details of the book you are interested in seeing, someone may be able to assist in locating the volume elsewhere.

    Hope this helps.
