That said, here is a great article that will really help. In summary, start with the information you know about your mom (& dad), her siblings, their parents, etc. As you build out this small tree section, the system will begin to find suggested people and links.

Based on ages, we could be looking at people who are still living, so we need to be cautious about sharing too much private information.

Her marriage record lists the names of her parents. Her obituary includes the names of siblings, and their marriage records have the same parents' names.
They were Willis Jasper Messer and Pearl Mavis Tanner.That's a better start than many people have when they start researching their deceased family.
