on the map my ancestors feature, it used to show non direct ancestors/cousins past 7 Generations and onwards , now it only shows roughly what it shows on a 7 gen fantree, is this something tied to my acc and data or was it a bug all along??

It sounds like you're asking about the feature on the Family Tree mobile app called Map My Ancestors. If so, it sounds like you're simply reporting the difference in how it behaves based on the setting "Show only direct line ancestors."

That setting can be accessed via the gear icon when you are in the feature. When it is switched on, you'll only see direct line ancestors, which matches what you describe as "what it shows on a 7 gen fantree." When it is switched off, you'll see many more relatives, which matches ”non direct ancestors/cousins past 7 Generations and onward."
