Continuous loss of information input
every time I log in, I have to restart inputting all the the work I had done. This has been happening for approx 8wks and I have entered over 900 so that's a lot to have to re-enter every day.
If I delete my account, will I be able to start all over again?

Is there a save option that needs to be pressed in order to keep all of the done work in place? Where was this work entered?

What FamilySearch information are you entering? Please provide us with a link or screenshot that will help this Community see where this problem is happening.
If you are entering information into the collaborative global Family Tree, it should be saved automatically, assuming you are completing all steps of the process. However, it will only be visible in your pedigree if you have put the relevant relationships in place. If not, you'll need to search for the person. Perhaps this helps?

Mandy, I am so so sorry for my delayed reply but I have not been paying attention to the notification bell.
I have been entering all my families details in the appropriate boxes and adding them to the list. From myself to grt grt Grandparents and knowledge from surviving family members and Family Search records.
Then past ancestors were being added to my tree. I wanted to print them off for a relative in Australia, but then, all the information I had entered to my tree kept being deleted right back to my grand parents, every time I logged in. I tried leaving my laptop on thinking that might solve the problem but as soon as I attempted to start adding more information, I was just taken to the sign in page. I tried using a Gedcom but Family Search doesn't have that facility. I have over 200 entries and have to re-enter them all over again which takes me about 3 hrs to do, by the time I have done that and added a few more entries, its time for bed and it starts all over again the next day, I feel like i'm in a groundhog film, it's so frustrating.
I don't know how to provide a link or screen shot!
Kind Regards and apologies
Denise

It is definitely not right that you are having to do this over and over again, we need to get to the bottom of this.
You are likely to have to sign in again after a certain amount of time has passed, that is for security reasons.
Can you provide an example person identifier (PID) of one of the people you have added, if you are able to see them on your Recents list?
Here is how to find the Recents list:
Here's an example PID off my own Recents list:
Aaron's PID is the P7ST-SSH, so I'm looking for something with that sort of format (needs to be a deceased person or I won't be able to see their profile).
If there is nothing on your Recents list, that also is useful information.
Thanks.

@Denise Ann9 Delete FS Cookies first, then you'll have to sign in again to work in FS. However if you have Google Chrome, go to the Customize Chrome, then to settings to check what cookies you will be deleting before you delete any cookies that could affect everything you do on your laptop.

@Denise Ann9 If none of the above helps, I am wondering if you might do best to go to your local Family Search Center and ask one of the volunteers to watch you put in one of these profiles, to see if you are accidentally missing a step.

Good afternoon Mandy, David Alan, Mary Ellen, I must apologise for my poor response to your answers but I am terrible at keeping an eye on the notification bell. David, there is no facility on Family Search to save my work. I have tried saving it through the drop down option from the right click of the mouse but it won't open again in Family Search. Mary Ellen, I click on the all button every time I log in but makes no difference. I will try your suggestion of going into Google and looking up the cookies. Mandy, 1 of my ancestors PID

I don't know if it makes a difference, but the names of my ancestors that I'm entering are what Family Search have identified and pre-filled for me.

Mandy, I have also cancelled all accounts and opened a new account but the issue continues to happen.

@Denise49561 Just checking - are you using the main FamilySearch site - https://www.familysearch.org/en/united-states/
or the beta site? - https://beta.familysearch.org/en/united-states/The beta site is a teaching tool and will not retain the information you add.

LWFN-C7Q is present on the live global collaborative Family Tree if you search for him by ID. No changes appear to have been made to him since 9 February 2022. How are you looking for him @Denise49561? And if you know the PIDs of your relatives on the Tree, what is it exactly that is failing to save? Are you trying to edit details via the pencil icon on the individual's Details tab? I still think you might do well to go to your nearest FamilySearch Center and work this through with a volunteer face to face.

@Denise49561 For screenshots, you are not alone so I'm going to try posting a screenshot of all the little icons/widgets/whatchamacallits on my computer and hope you can find the scissors icon on you own computer - the one you're looking for is on the far right, then moving to the left, you see Word, then of course Scrabble, then The red one is Adobe reader, etc - Best Wishes, Mary

Re 'I have tried saving it through the drop down option from the right click of the mouse but it won't open again in Family Search.'
The browser right click drop down menu's 'Save' option just attempts to save the current contents of your browser window to a local file on your PC (usually not very meaningfully). It can take no action whatever on any website.
