Has anyone gotten an answer regarding mother's maiden name being added as surname for children?

This is prevalent on most recent batch of Swedish records, have not checked other locations.

Are you referring to AI indexed records, where the last name listed above in the household is duplicated for the children, instead of the head of household's last name? I have seen a couple of those errors. Some done by people who do not understand that in some countries mothers kept their maiden name throughout life.

@ghokans mninter.net This issue has been raised repeatedly and is being addressed. Engineers have faced multiple setbacks, and work is paused because the solution for surname generation created further issues. Resolving this is a top priority.
