Red Dot on Chat Icon
When I am logged into FamilySearch the red icon (which indicates that I have new chats) never turns off even though I do not have any new chats. Is FS working on resolving this issue? Does anyone else have this issue? Thank you.

Try this - go to Chat - then the menu (3 dots) and select Mark All Chats As Read. This turned off the red dot for me when I didn't have any new chats.

@Robert Seal_1, I am assuming that you are using a browser to access the FamilySearch site, not the Family Tree mobile app. If you have multiple browser tabs open on FamilySearch pages and you have new chats, each tab will show the red dot. If you use one of the tabs to read all the chats, the red dot will be cleared, but only on the tab that you are looking at. If you the switch to one of the other tabs, the dot will still be there. Normally, refreshing such a tab will clear the dot, as will using Mark All Chats as Read.
Is that how you came to see the dot on a tab? If that is the case, then the answer is "that is how the Vanilla platform works". On the other hand, if the dot was there as soon as you logged on to FamilySearch but you had no new chats, then there is a problem. There was an issue like this several months ago, but that was resolved quickly.
