What if 2 names are highlighted? is there a way to index them both separately?
I realize for the most part the system is able to catch most names in the system. However, if it thinks 2 separate names are one combined name, will it still record the other name that you remove from the entry? or is it possible one name will get lost?

If you're talking about Full Name Review, I think the idea/answer is that the name you "remove from the entry" will be highlighted and picked up by another reviewer

I will contact some of those in FamilySearch smarter than me and see if we can find a solution. I have run into the same situation in the past. I recently saw this post and don't know if it will help in these situations.

Upon performing subsequent FTS the modified text also appears to be saved.I am curious if my edit will be seen by anyone else. ThisFTS queryshould get you to the image.I think changes made this way will impact not only the displayed transcription but will also change what results you get using the old vs new wording as a keyword phrase… e.g. +"utterly northlen" will no longer generate any results. Probably not just for me but for anyone….I've got mixed feelings on this… On one hand this seems like a good idea to get a human addressing 'perceived' errors in transcription and potentially improving search results. But then again, if I changed the text to read something totally wrong, it would cause FTS results to be badly impacted. Kind of like Family Tree 'merges' that are easily facilitated then come to find out it makes a mess of things1 -
@AnthonyHopkins5 Could you provide more information on where you are seeing this? Are you doing name review in Get Involved? Can you provide an example of what you mean? Sam
