Attaching Source from Catalog – Familien und Sippen in Rheinsheim, 1692–1910
Hello everyone,
I have a personal copy of the out‑of‑print book Familien und Sippen in Rheinsheim, 1692–1910 by Dieter Haas (Philippsburg: Stadt Philippsburg, 2009; Badische Ortssippenbücher, Band 135). This is a detailed family lineage book for Rheinsheim, Baden, Germany.
I noticed that the book is listed in the FamilySearch Catalog, but I don’t see a way to attach it directly as a source to individuals in the Family Tree. Since this book is such a valuable genealogical resource, I think it would be wonderful if FamilySearch allowed us to link catalog entries like this directly to people in the tree.
Has anyone found a way to do this, or know if FamilySearch plans to make catalog sources attachable? I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether this would be useful, and if there are any workarounds in the meantime.
Thanks in advance for your comments!

You can use any URL to add a Source, so you could use the Catalog link (or I'd maybe go for this one https://www.deutsche-digitale-bibliothek.de/item/IOOHMAXHABQQBYIVZ7XQEKOGPBFCIFRR
which gives access to the Table of Contents).
I am pretty sure it would be ok for you to transcribe the little bit of information that is most relevant, with a page reference, in the source description/notes.
If the book was out of copyright you could scan the page as a Memory, but that clearly doesn't apply here.
Having said all of which, this is a secondary source. A similar tome re my great-grandmother's family lists her grandmother completely wrongly. If the book cites its own sources, I'd suggest you track down and quote those as well (especially as the primary sources may well be online). If not, be clear that this is a secondary source with nothing cited to back it up.
