https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/record/results?f.collectionId=1949336&q.givenName=James%20Lester&q.surname=CreechShows him as female and her as male.

I tried to go to the feedback button and click an emoji, but I can't do it and I don't have a popup blocker that is turned on. Thank you

When a record like the one you are referencing here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VHPH-GNY comes from an index for which there are no images, the fields and data cannot be edited. There's a good reason for that - the error (such as transposing the parents) may very well exist in the index itself which FS has nothing to do with - and, we cannot know that in the absence of the original index image.

I just found another one. 2SDC-331 and spouse LCXR-WR4 and yesterdays G8WT-DY1 and spouse 97Y1-WH2 They both are listed as the opposite gender and it won't let you correct it and stay corrected.

Some of these show that if I was at a FSC I could see the image on the portal that FSCs have access to but I don't at home. I agree that it may be an indexing issue not a source linker issue. I wanted to do what I could to help get it resolved. I keep trying to link the record hints and have several that I can't do that keep popping up again.

@LSeger Hmm, I don't know anything about correcting indexes or source linker (I'm 80😊) but you can go to the detail pages and correct them there - whoops, just realized you probably already know that! Sooo much I have to lean about FS!!!

@LSeger The index for this collection is provided by Ancestry and cannot be edited on our end. However, the genders are correct on the Ancestry website so the gender switching occurs on FamilySearch.

We can report this, but due to current priorities it may not be addressed immediately. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

I'd guess that AI is still learning cursive and that this emoji 🤣 is appropriate!!!! especially for those of us who still speak and read cursive!!!! Seriously tho, I wish folks would hesitate to accept AI as gospel truth!
