Reasons for Merge Options
While I like being able to select specific reasons for completing the merge when applicable, it is also helpful to have one option similar to the old options like "All vital information matches". I do not want to have to select all options for each merge if all statements are true…that takes additional time. Also, some merges are for profiles that do not have much of if any details or sources, I like the old option of "This record contains little information, there is enough evidence to believe they are the same people".

@jenniferCorbilla Thanks for the feedback!
We will be watching how people use the new reason statement selector and making adjustments.
One of the things we found is that providing more vague options, they are frequently used incorrectly.
Thanks again!0 -
I agree (edited input) I have found the new Reasons list very cumbersome and frequently not relevant. For instance, often the first names match but one record has a maiden name and the other a married surname. So names don't technically match, but really they do.
Sometimes I can't really check any of the boxes, but I'm sure it's a match. I prefer the Reasons statements we used to have, then I can add details in the comments

Having the birth date and place combined in one option and death date and place in another isn't helpful. Lots of times one record doesn't have the place information, or it has more general information and the other has more specific details.

If you not can merge them, you can always deleted them. It is the most stupid FamilySearch ever have done that you can not merge duplicates. Family search are not longer one big family they are more like Heritages with lot of mistaken in family trees.
