church record accessibility help
I was hoping someone with LDS credentials or someone at a FamilySearch center could try and access the DGS # outlined with the red box. When you press the link, you see the image roll for a brief second, and then it disappears with a "Can't Access" message, but it is not clear where it could be accessed at. I tried to follow the world cat link, but it said it didn't work anymore. Any help would be appreciated

@Harleynut97 You can view this DGS "in part" at a Family History Center or Affiliate Library. However, if you try to open it from the catalog you will likely get the same "Can't Access" message. Many films in our collections have been divided so that records outside restricted dates remain accessible. However, Catalog often opens films in the old viewer which will display No Access if any part of it is restricted. This is true for LDS accounts as well. For now, it pays to check in Images to see what can be accessed.
Search by DGS number. Items that are restricted will not be seen in the list.

@SerraNola I really appreciate you taking the time to suggest that, I had no idea it worked that way. I almost always try to find these type of unindexed records by using the catalog option when searching.
If I could ask you a quick followup question, When using your suggestion, after choosing Search-Images, did you only enter the DGS# or did you also have to put a place name?
I'm going to need to get to our family history center soon to try this method. Thank you again for taking the time to post the screen shots

@Harleynut97 You only need the DGS number.
