My oldest brother changed his name before leaving for Australia in 1965 from England. He went to Sidney then onto Brisbane. He was incarcerated i found out in Australia and was subsequently sent back to England in the early 2000s. I have no contact with him and don't even know if he is still alive or if so where he lives.

He was born (name removed for privacy) , 1944 in England. Mother (name removed for privacy), father (name removed for privacy).

I would like to know his whereabouts if anyone could help.

Thank you

While do not provide the posting of living people on this format, we know that finding your brother is an imprortant endeavor for you to have, There are fortunately more options than this one, Looking for obits of course is always one course of action. I know that in the US there are on line registries that list people and where they live and phone numbers they may have had.

There are also DNA ventures that might help like ancestry.com. If your mother and father are deceased their name I believe can be added to this posting. I wish you well in finding him.

If there is anyone from England and or Australia who know of places to post or look that may assist we encourage you to post those suggestions here. I would ask if in your searching for him whether you found any connections to associates, friends or employment he may have had that might lead to other clues.

Have you tried just googling his name - I know my name shows multiple times with Facebook and other social media accounts.

I also asked an AI (CoPilot) for suggestions = Electoral Register: The UK electoral roll lists current addresses of registered voters. Some versions are publicly searchable through subscription services.

@margaretannecaroldavis1 Were you able to find any information by using the suggestions listed above? If he is deceased, you can list his name with his date of birth, date of death; it will be much easier for people to assist you in your search. If he is alive, you will not be able to search for him using this forum.

You may want to try the many public record searches now available on the internet. Google, Chatbot, CoPilot, etc. Have you tried Facebook or an appropriate social media forum for your country? Don't forget the old standby of searching through whitepages.com or your version of the internet phone book.

If we do not hear from you soon, we will consider this discussion closed. If you do have additional information, please feel free to add it to the discussion.
