Riveli di beni e anime, Lipari (Messina), 1623, 1811-1816
For many years, the "Riveli di beni et anime, , Lipari (Messina), 1623, 1811-1816" records were available online on familysearch website: they could be accessed to from a FamilySearch Center (I was able to access them in 2023 from the Paris France FamilySearch Center located 12 Rue Saint-Merri in Paris), using my personal familysearch account.
Now, when I try to access those records from the same familysearch Centre, it is indicated that "This item on microfilm and microfiche at the location indicated". Consquently, I can no more access to those registers.
Do you know what is the reason for? It would be very helpful for my research to be able to review those records.
Thank you very much!

The contracts for many Italian records changed recently and images have been restricted. FamilySearch does make every effort to make our collections free to all but sometimes that is not possible.

@Orazio Gioe
You may find it useful to visit the group for Italy Research. The changes in contracts and other reasons for lack of access have been discussed there.

@Orazio Gioe It appears that these records are at least temporarily restricted and not accessible to anyone except at the Salt Lake library. I think that includes Riveli di beni e anime for all of Sicily. If this Wiki page is correct it states the records are scheduled to become available, so keep checking back:

The riveli are covered under the new contract between FamilySearch and the DGA (Direzione Generale Archivi). Under that agreement, items in the custody of the DGA (this includes all riveli, which are in the custody of the Archivio di Stato di Palermo) will only be made publicly available on the DGA's Antenati portal. Unfortunately, the DGA has not yet published many of the films that were previously viewable on FamilySearch at a FamilySearch Center or FamilySearch Affiliate Library. It's a very frustrating situation for Italian researchers. Most of the films are not even in the library in SLC; they are stored in the Granite Mountain Vault and are not available to researchers.

Thank you, @Cousin Vinny. That needs to be updated on the Wiki. I noticed several websites stated these records were accessible online at the state archive. Were they once available there and now have been taken down? I could not find an active URL for the Archivio di Stato di Palermo to even check? I did check Antenati, though.
