Recent Editing and Indexing Issues - UPDATE
In recent months, users have experienced difficulties when newly created records appeared to be lost upon refreshing the page. Although engineers resolved this specific issue, subsequent challenges have emerged. The following NEW editing issues have been identified and documented:
1- Permissions Delay for Newly Indexed Individuals
After a new individual is indexed, permissions may not be set for up to 24 hours. During this period, users are unable to link to Record Details or attach the record using Source Linker. Additionally, these new records cannot be found using Search.
2- Delay for Newly Edited Data
Edits made to existing records become visible in the index immediately; however, they may not appear in Record Details for up to 24 hours. During this time, the updated information is not accessible via Source Linker and using the edited data as search criteria may not retrieve the updated record.
3- Issues with Newly Added Events
Occasionally, events created before permissions are set may not show in Record Details or Search Results, even if they're visible in the index; they might need to be re-added to appear when linking records or searching.
4- Indexing Reversion During Record Editing
While editing an individual record, the indexing for the entire page may unexpectedly revert to “No Access.” In certain instances, the page may display “This Image has not been Indexed”. When the index is restored, all editing of data and/or households may have reverted back to original indexing.
We kindly ask the Community to share examples of any editing issues you encounter. The broader range of user experiences provided will aid in a quicker resolution to these problems.
Any updates on these issues will be posted in this thread. Thanks so much for your patience as I take your concerns to engineers.

I have experienced all of the issues listed.

I have corrected the first name on this record and the index hasn't updated. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JXC7-63D?lang=en

While I've been seeing high lag between edits in the editing view and those edits showing up for the Source Linker / View Record page, last night I indexed this entire page (3 real records and a phantom fourth) through Indexing Review and none of the corrections I made are showing up even in the editor. Might be the same problem, might be a different one.

Thanks to all for your contributions. I have saved all the links and the details of your experience.

I don't know if this is related or not, but I have been correcting the indexing on this document: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9B2-SW73-C?view=index&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AQLKL-D418&action=view&cc=2517051&lang=en&groupId= . All of the people listed were flagged as primary names and there were no relationships. I flagged all but Elizabeth Margaretha Roos Marais as secondary names and then added the parents, spouse and children relationships. So far so good. Then I added Jacobus E Scholts as spouse of Elizabeth Margaretha Marais Scholtz and that is when things went funky. Now Jacobus E Schotlz shows up on what seems to be a household record with Elizabeth Margaretha Roos Marais. I might have done something wrong, but I did exactly what I have done in the past that worked without this new behaviour. I also added David Marais as spouse of Margaretha Magdalena Marais Marais and that worked as I expected.

I have waited several days to update the issues with editing in order to test and verify results. Last Thursday, the ability to attach records after adding/editing was restored. We are also no longer seeing entire page indexing loss. Engineers suspect both the problem and the solution is tied to system load and ongoing operations. No permanent fix is being announced, but things are currently working.
We are aware that relationships added after creating a new persona may not carry over when permissions are set. Although it's a nuisance, these can generally be re-added and saved.
Thanks for your patience. Your continued contributions to improve our records is greatly appreciated.

While edits do seem to be flowing in a much more timely manner again, I've noticed a few that are still lost in transition.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9398-KZ3D-ZD?view=index&lang=en&groupId=M9SP-4ZW shows the primary as gn:"Miguel Angel" sn:"Bladuell Ramos", and the history says I changed that on October 8. The linkable record at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6DX1-GDRN?lang=en still shows him as gn:"MIGUEL" sn:"ANGEL" (all caps, second given name as surname, and missing real surnames).0
