I'm getting really bad lag spikes for some reason.

As I'm doing family search full name indexing, I'm running across some sort of glitch that provokes a big lag spike.
at the 'is the full name highlighted' step, sometimes when I click 'no', it lags so bad that the page stalls out and needs a minute to think. Then when I do get to the step after that, the highlights are buggy, sometimes allowing me to interact with the text boxes, but mostly glitching and preventing me from doing so. The only way I've found to get past it is to skip the name entirely. This is a new bug for me, but its happened multiple times today.

Yeah, another issue that it causes when I try to work through it… it sometimes selects and highlights a text box I wasn't even clicking on, and then its 50/50 whether or not I can unhighlight it.

Also, can we get some sort of program that allows us to link a specific record to a comment? not something that just anyone could see, but the moderators specifically so they can see what's going on.

Is the rest of the internet behaving normally for you? Such as if you bring up Google, do a search or something else, is everything there behaving as usual?

Everything else is behaving normally. amazon.com, youtube, google. none of those are having any issues streaming or searching. Yet family search is getting some really bad lag that takes half a minute to finish after I click the button to edit selected text boxes. (Its turning a session where I can usually get about 150 names done into less than 100.)

Thought I found a fix, but it was just a statistical quirk, overwriting the comment with this text.

This morning mine freezes up on the first step. Never had this happen. Freezes up so I get out of it, start again, and it freezes up again. No, I haven'st changed anything on my computer.

Just wasted an hour thinking it was related to my browser updating and trying to troubleshoot. I can't get it to load on any browsers. The browser console shows a bunch of errors that I haven't seen before.

My sister and I are experiencing the very same issue on both our computers. We are using Firefox (just updated on mine) and Windows 11. She tried Chrome with no better results. We also cleared the cache and cookies with no resolution. This has been happening for about a week. All is fine until we have to add or remove a highlight, then we can make no further progress unless we skip the name or refresh and get a new document. Of course, neither of those actions are satisfactory because the problem crops up again within minutes. Looking forward to a solution and being able to index again without the frustration.

Issue: Significant lag when attempting to update or add highlighting to an entry

    Indexing: Full Name Review

    Computer: Desktop - Windows 11 vs 25H2

Browsers: tried Firefox, Chrome and Edge

Attempts to correct issue: Cleared cache and cookies, and tried other browsers

This issue has been gradually increasing in severity over the last 2 weeks (maybe longer) until it has become prohibitive to continue to try and index.

Example Image: While trying to edit the highlight to include the first letter of the last name ('D'), two new highlights were generated above (on the words 'I' and 'have'). Clicking on the 'detach' command only generates additional unwanted highlights.

Family Search Indexing has been abandoned until a resolution can be established as the frustration level is too high!

Thanx for your attention to resolving this issue.
