When a person has a reservation and it expires, why am I not able to reserve it?

How can I share instead of only given the opportunity to reserve?

I'm not receiving emails when reservations are about to expire. All I want to do is share but can't when I'm only given the choice to reserve,

@wberg3905053 Thank you for your inquiry. A few weeks before a reservation expires, a message will be sent, and within 24 hours of the expiration date, all expiring ordinances are processed. How to find these notifications:
- Sign in: to your FamilySearch account.
- Click the Notifications icon: in the upper-right corner of the page.
- Read the details: in the notification pane to see the information about your expiring reservations.
