"Add New Memory Source" - need to tag?
I understand that when FamilySearch is notified of my death, they will lock my account. At that point, any Memories in my account that are untagged will become inaccessible. Does that policy also apply to Memories that appear in my Gallery because they were added using "Add New Memory Source"? When I use "Add New Memory Source," do I need to manually tag the image or PDF file in my Gallery so it is not lost when I die?

I've done some testing. It does appear that you can add a Memory through the Source Box, and anyone can access it without a tag in place. (I tried this using my daughter's account….I attached a memory to a distant ancestor using Source Box/Add a Memory/Upload from Gallery……this memory had no tags attached at all…..then in my account, I went to that ancestor's Source Box and was able to open the memory).
However. Since I have done only limited testing and could find no other information regarding this specific issue, I would stick with the proven method of tagging.
To ensure your memories remain available in the future, always tag them to the appropriate people!
