Search techniques
I am trying to research the Stierlen family name in Untertuerkheim, Wuerttemberg, and in particular the possibility that they moved from Ebingen in the middle of the 17th century. Since I do not have first names and records in Untertuerkheim do not start until 1693/94, I thought I'd search for all Stierlen records in Untertuerkheim prior to 1750. This used to work in the past, but the interface seems to have been changed (possibly even the search engine), and I get nothing returned.

Hi @gusG I was not able to narrow down the residence place by using the last name in search either. FamilySearch may not have any records for the time frame you need. Have you asked in the Germany Community Group about searching for other records found in Untertuerkheim?
