Is it possible to pre-select the date format?
Many dates exist in both the American and the European format, e.g. 12 8 2025 which can be December 8th 2025 or 12 August 2025. When I insert such a date, I get both options and have to select the appropriate one. Is it possible to pre-select my preferred format?

I believe the preferred genealogy way is 12 December 2025. It provides the least amount of room for confusion, the numbers are separated by written word month. Familysearch looks for you to put dates in this standardized form.

@rudlgerhaffner There is no selection for date format. The date format in Family Search is, for example, 6 December 2025. The easiest way to enter a date is, for example, 6dec2025 and then select the standard which is 6 December 2025. This date format avoids the confusion associated with other formats and differences around the world.
