I just saw an online record of someone who could be my ancestor, but that person has not been created yet. In addition, this person has several records (baptisms). If I could create a new person, I might have more clues, but it won't let me

If you are having trouble creating a new person using the record, go to your Recents list and use Add Unconnected Person.
