I got a image restricted error when trying to look up scans which where open before for a long time. Here is an example link

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHJ-8QGT-893G-K?view=explore&groupId=TH-7772-128407-8820-95&lang=en

There a lot more in volume 181-2-* from that creator (Count Lyantskoronsky's estate)

Why hindrers of scans from that creator are not available any more?

Please advice

FamilySearch has contracts with the various record creators/holders. Contracts may change over time.

Tagging @SerraNola who may have some insight on this particular record set.

@MaksymHnativ I was able to view these records using a public account but did not find 181-2. Were these records for later years that may have been restricted?

What about images there were part of a microfilmed collection at a county. For example, Morgan County AL records the the LDS microfilmed (probate record)…. Some records I have found through full text search and recorded as a source are now no longer available? My bad for not sourcing the film #, other info etc, and downloading the document, but I fear years of my work is shot now. Here is an example:

    @SerraNola

As a matter of interest, where does one find details such as where these records are held.

I could find nothing in the "main catalogue" or the library catalogue.

On this link from Images it said the creator was Count Lyantskoronsky's estate, and it does say "Lwów, Poland records," but no further details.

    https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHV-3QJ7-YSB9?view=explore&groupId=TH-7701-121554-539-33&grid=on&lang=en

Surely FamilySearch should be providing some further details. Usually there are details of the Archive, Library etc. Why not in this case?

Who or what is Count Lyantskoronsky's estate?

When I click through on the first image I get this (screenshot left/above).

Clicking on the Lviv Historical Archive and searching for Лянцкоронські gave me this:

    https://archium.tsdial.archives.gov.ua/fonds/145/

which looks like a start, though I don't think the documents are available online.

@MaksymHnativ I'm not sure if the results changed or if I just didn't look far enough, but now I see that there are thousands of DGS by this creator and about half are 181-2*** numbers:

    image.png

These records were all born digital from the archive referenced previously and do not belong to a Catalog Collection at this time. I didn't find any that would not open, but of course I didn't test them all. The 181-2 films were all before 1900. If the one you were trying to access was for a later date, it may be a legitimate restriction.

@samaustin2 If not the DGS, can you provide the collection title for this record?

Thank you so much for your responds. So the total number of files in this creator was around 6000. I was using them for years doing my researches. But now image restricted shown on my screen for majority of them. Some of them are still available like one you are reference.

it is not a time restriction because the ones I cant access dated from 1700-1800 and the same time I can access ones which are from 1931.

there are 2 different sets of volumes in that creator 181-1-*** and 181-2-***. I think around 2000 of them still available. But I particularly need following 181-2-973; 181-2-974; 181-2-975; 181-1-1363 as well as many others. All these file are dated before 1900. Originals are at L'viv Historical archive of Ukraine.

So I don't know if they were moved somewhere else or what is the reason.

Here is a link i was using for the last one in my list

    Thanks in advance

@MaksymHnativ You are correct that these volume #'s are not found in the list on Images. I do wish we had DGS #'s, but I will see if engineers can determine anything from the link you sent.

Thanks @MandyShaw1 for supplying the image. I didn't think to look further than the page I was on.

@SerraNola Looking at the list of results you posted in the image above August 27, 2025 which shows thousands of results:

I note the results are listed/sorted by Image Group Number. I think it would be helpful to have a Sort facility on the top of each column, so you can sort by the variable which is important to you such as date, or Archive number. I have seen facility in other websites, including a Wiki, so I am sure it is not a difficult thing to program. Could you please pass this request on to the engineers.

Also, although I now see that there is information about the archive, (provided you click through to the actual images) could you also ask the engineers to make this more visible on the Information page quoted by me August 16 above.

@MaureenE123 Really good suggestions. I was wishing for a way to sort the Volume column when trying to find the specific numbers the patron needed. It would have been super helpful.

I don't understand why FS don't make all search result columns sortable, it would make a spectacular difference to usability. I did submit a Suggest an Idea on this a while ago, may be worth keeping up the pressure that way since we are assured they are all looked at and directed to the appropriate team.

100% agree with you all on sorting, I was dreaming about having search result sortable for years. I even had to copy every search result page into excel spreadsheet in order to do sorting but its so time consuming and I really wish somebody can fix that.

    @MaksymHnativ

Please submit a Suggest an Idea - the more people do so, the better, I think (unfortunately we can no longer upvote, or even see, others' Ideas).

@MaksymHnativ No, but I just sent a message to an engineer to check on it. I'll update you if I hear anything.
