Hello! I have found several badly indexed records of my relatives, and I can't correct them; the EDIT option is turned off.Does anyone know how I can fix this??Thank you very much!!!
In many of the records that are available now if you click on the image the edit option now appears on the image itself. If you have any concerns or need more help give me a link to the records you are referring to.

Yes in did, but not in all cases. For example, this record, my grand grand father, is wrong, and I can not fix it…

As a matter of fact the are many mistakes on my relatives, indexed by the same volunteer (username removed), that I can not fix.

@MARIELA RAMA
When the images are not available online, the Edit function is disabled because it would be impossible to verify if the image matched the index.
I'm not sure what you mean by indexed by the same volunteer "####" since the names of indexers are not included. The indexing program (now retired) was anonymous.
Ah - I see you are referring to the contributor who has attached records to that profile. That person is not the indexer. You can collaborate with other contributors/users by clicking on the user's name. That will open the Chat feature so you can compare notes and discuss any possible confusion or needed corrections.
Hope this helps.2 -
I went to the show all changes and I noticed that you were the one who initiated the records for Jose Rama Garcia. (Username removed) is another person who thinks that this Jose Rama Garcia is her relative and he or she is attaching records. They may be two different individuals. If the records this person has added do not belong to him then you will need to remove the records from his page. It might then be wise to start a new Jose Rama Garcia with those records attached to him then perhaps the wrong information might stop happening. Let me know if there are records that are not his and I can help you remove them.

@jamiehadlock Jose Rama Garcia is my grand grand pa.
Before I enter any information I have to be sure, so I go to a FS center near me, and check it.
The thing is I found wrong data indexed (in this case and others) as well as misspelling that I can not fix.
I want to know how can I do it.
Thank you !!

You cannot and should not change the data on the document unless what is written has not been transcribed correctly. The people at the FS center near should be able to help you. Misspelling is often the nature of records that we deal with. In my opinion you just need to determine if the record you are dealing with is for the people you are attaching the record to. When and if you decide to attach the record you can make a note of what is wrong with the record at that time. If I remember right the relationship is wrong in the record and it is possible to edit the relationship of the people mentioned. But it has to be edited on the record itself. I hope things will work out well for you. This can be a very stressful experience to deal with.
