Why do Albums now limit us to only seeing the 1st 100 images?
@Cherie Gardner Rawlings has posted:
I usually have close to 1,000 images in each album; but now there is at the bottom of each album a button that only allows 100 images to be seen at a time. I am slowly trying to add all the names in a document to the title and the extra names that do not fit in a title to the first 250 characters in the description; but once I have added all the names in a document to the first 100 items in an album it is so cumbersome to get back to the next 100 because I never see all the images in that album without going to the bottom and telling it to show "ALL". It is one more step that truly slows down the work. In fact it stops the work cold.
To fix this problem I even paid for the so called "fastest" internet so this would no longer be an issue. But, even tho I now have the fastest internet money can buy I find that familysearch does not perform any faster than before.

Also, think about every time you need to move around in an album. Each time I have to hit the hidden arrow next to the word "Title" then you have to scroll to the image, which is doable, for the first 100 images in an album. Then things still might not be working right and I may have to change Browsers Now the first thing I have to do is click on Memories…it takes forever to load just because I have close to 10 Albums with 1,000 images each in my Memories in 7 accounts and don't even ask how long it takes to load 20,000 plus images on my LDS account. Then after I choose the Album I am working in I click on "List"; that takes forever to change till I see "Grid" instead. Once I am thru watching it go round and round; finally I can click on the hidden arrow next to the word "Title". Now finally I am ready to scroll to the image, but wait after I have labelled the first 100 images in an album I must go to the bottom and choose "ALL" and wait and wait and wait; and finally I can start again to find the image I stopped on.

When I work for Ancestor Seekers it seems most of what I do is to try to help new and discouraged users come back and give FamilySearch a chance. You spend good money creating Campaigns and you pay to advertise FamilySeach all in the hope of enticing new and discouraged users to give FamilySearch a chance. But, to actually entice new and discouraged users to give FamilySearch a chance, you as Engineers, need to simplify what we do on FamilySearch. A good start would be to please stop adding so many extra steps to everything we do on FamilySearch.
I understand the need to rewrite programs once you can no longer repair the old program. But what I do not understand is why you do not first count the number of times we must click to accomplish something and then create a new program with less clicks not more.
And for people like me with arthitis in our hands, putting the button clear at the top can be so painful as compared to putting it lower on the page. Simple, little things, that could make our work so much easier.

It looks like you are engaged in some amazing work. We apologize for these inconveniences.
I will share your thoughts with our Memories Team…others have also shared concerns about the Memories Albums and the long load times.
In the mean time, we ask for patience with our free product.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.

It sounds like you are saying by only allowing 100 images to load it is supposed to speed up the load time…am I correct? Is this what you are saying?

Yes, loading fewer images does help the load time.
Unfortunately, it is a known issue that large galleries and large albums in FamilySearch take long times to load. The loading speed improves with the List View and with fewer items.
Hopefully, in coming months, the load speeds will improve.
