Attempted to make a correct, can't fix the new issue - how to correct?

Curl Parker Morrow Sr (LTNM-27G) was married twice. All offspring born in 1927 and earlier were born to him and Edna Savilla Swafford (K2ND-6KY), All born after 1927 were born to him and Martha Collista Morrow (L1DQ-1DN).

I noticed that Robert Franklin Morrow Sr (GVLB-L55) was included under both unions. I verified the ID was the same for him in both groups. I couldn't merge ID's because they were both the same, so I removed Swafford as his mother.

Now, while he is listed under Ms. Morrow as his mother (which is correct based on his "Find-a-Grave listed - F-A-G memorial ID 233695851) he is also now listed under his father's name with no spouse.

How to remove that extra connection that should not be there?

Side note - before you comment about his mother and father being listed with the same last name, I checked - Morrow is her maiden name as well as her husband's surname. Haven't discovered if they were related - probably cousins - but the name is correct.

Thanks!!

Hi @Michael Rhodes2. Here is a detailed help page for editing relationships: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-correct-parent-child-relationships-in-family-tree

Essentially, you will need to click the pencil icon and then 'remove or replace' with the correct mother.

In the case of Robert, go to his page, scroll down to where the father is listed by himself and remove that relationship. It should still preserve the other, correct connection to both parents.

@Michael Rhodes2 , as a side note, you might also consider adding the children born to Edna that are also found on the 1930 US Census in Curl and Martha's household and mark Martha as step-mother under Parent-Child Relationship Type as appropriate.

Thank you both. Easy fix. Not sure why I couldn't figure that out - I'm usually smarter than that! 🤣
I'll also take a look at the census - I probably have a copy of it already as my typical place to keep records is FTM and Ancestry. I try to stick with direct ancestors, but sometimes go down rabbit holes with my ancestor's siblings, nieces, and nephews. That's what happened in this case - Curl's great great grandmother is my 3rd great grandmother, but through different siblings.

    Thanks again!

Just FYI, that census is already attached. Just click the Sources tab on Curl's detail/profile page.
