How to find a will
Hello.
I'm trying to find identifying records for one of my ancestors.
On his page in FamilySearch, within the Sources tab, there is a link to a will, though it only appears to be an index to wills.
It's found within North Carolina, U.S., Wills and Probate Records, 1665-1998.
I've attached a screen shot of the image with my ancestor (or whom I believe might be my ancestor) highlighted in red.
This appears to only be an index. How can I view the actual will?
My ancestor's ID number is GRK9-M8R.
Thank you.

The cross-reference on Ancestry shows that Will is in the Old Will collection, on Page 12.

Thank you.
This appears to be earlier than the John Jackson I'm searching. This will was done in 1732, whereas the John Jackson I'm researching wasn't born until around 1750.
How can I find a potential will or identifying records for him?

Right now, the profile GRK9-M8R has little information to help find a possible will - if one exists.
I suggest that you build out the profile of James and his family. Finding more records will help you know where he lived and died and help to isolate where to look for possible probate files.
The will that is currently attached should be deleted, since the date will cause the hinting algorithm to suggest incorrect records.
Good luck.
