How to move family members from one to another?
I am new to this site and I started a tree I was able to find family that I had that was not available to me from a different site. I realized I could upload that family tree. I want to add the family members to the tree I uploaduploaded, but it will not let me do it. I know one tree the one I started maybe private, I can't find where to make it public so I can use their ID to the tree I uploaded.

I am confused as to where you are trying to upload people from and to where. If you started a tree on familysearch then you only will be able to see the living people on your tree. The tree on family tree that is public is one single collaborative tree that everyone makes changes to. If you are on the private tree side of familysearch then you decide who gets to see that tree. If you have a PID number of one of the deceased people on your tree that you can give me then maybe I can see what you are refering to.

Just to add a cautionary warning, not all trees you find carry accurate information. You will need to compare their sources and where each persons information comes from to make sure they belong in the family and where.

The last post above has links to how to add information to the familysearch tree. Keep in mind that the people you are adding may already reside in the tree somewhere and will first try to link you that person. You will need to decide if that person is the same one you are tring to add.
