FamilySearch Books search not working? Timing out.
I have not been able to search FamilySearch books, it keeps timing out when I try to search something.
For example, this search URL:
https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/?navigation=&perpage=&page=1&sort=_score&search=fl904397&refine%5BAccessLevel%5D%5B%5D=Full+Permission&refine%5BAccessLevel%5D%5B%5D=Public&refine%5BAccessLevel%5D%5B%5D=Limited+Permission&fulltext=1&bookmarks=0#title
It eventually times out with a 504 error from CloudFront. Same with other books search.
Does that URL work for anyone else?

I just searched for a random place name in the Books Search at https://www.familysearch.org/en/library/books/. It timed out after several minutes with the same 504 gateway timeout error from CloudFront. Windows 10 with Chrome browser.

Starting from Advanced Search -
I searched on a partial title of a journal series I remember consulting. I used the Keyword field.Three titles were returned, including the one I remembered.
Then I searched in the Title field, using the full title of that same journal. Many issues of the journal returned.
In other words, it seems to be working now, at least from the USA.
Windows 10, Chrome, both fully updated.

Just after midnight (Utah time) on Mondays, regular maintenance is often done. My guess is that the problems reported less than 2 hours after midnight were related to that maintenance.

It was happening days before that, however yes it started working again sometime Monday.
It was worth the wait, because FS seems to have released a lot of major new features (re-indexing of full text search at much better accuracy, better merge process, editing of transcriptions, CETs…) with that update!
