Automated users (treehelper) wrongly adding people to tree

I have noticed that automated users have obviously wrongly added new people to my family tree. The newly added persons are listed as deceased, even though the family members with same name on the original tree are still alive. Obviously source of information are orbituaries as even priests/pastors conducting the funeral are now listed as family members. Not pleased at all. Can't even remove these newly adds as it is indicated that I have not sufficient privileges to do that.

    @BrigitteTrenfield Good afternoon.
    You may find this thread (several pages long) interesting. It's not a new issue, but it won't go away.

    You should, however, be able to edit. That's what I spent much of yesterday doing, and I don't have any "privileges." Several families on my following list were affected yesterday.

    If you are comfortable sharing the PIDs (profile identifying numbers), someone can help you make the corrections.

    Hi

    For those that have been added as deceased but are stilling living. Edit their profile on the person page and mark them as living. Your request will be processed and once complete, you will no longer see these individuals. For those that are not members of your family, edit their profile on the person page and remove the relationships. Also, if you know they are still living, mark them as such.

    Just remember that the person who entered these people, can't see the living profiles that you have of these people. Hope this helps.

    @Wayland K Adams Sorry, but Tree Building Project and similar projects add duplicates of the deceased, too. Paying attention is not a strong suit. 4 families in my following list were affected yesterday.

    Yeah that is probably true, but the action is the same. Mark people still living as living, removed relatonships for those not in your family and merge duplicates. I didn't mention duplicates in my response.

    As you indicate, it is very annoying when they don't pay attention. Thanks for the input.
