View my relationship is not reliable
This situation happens from time to time when someone I am definitely related to shows suddenly up as unrelated. An example today on my tree is 275N-NBT, Johanne Elisabeth Kittelsen. Her father is my 2nd cousin 4x removed. Earlier today she correctly showed as my 3rd cousin. But now, she and all of her siblings now show as unrelated, while her father still shows as my 2nd cousin. In the past, I've just had to wait a day or two or try editing dates and places and see if I can get the system to recognize the relationship again. Waiting doesn't seem like a very user-friendly solution. This has gone on for several hours and who knows how long it will take to be right again. I'd love to be able to get a consistently correct relationship as I work.

I'm seeing the same type of erratic behavior this morning. Checking Jarl, the father in the family, he shows as my wife's 11th cousin twice removed. His wife shows no relationship. although it should. Of their the children, two of them show no relationship. the other eight are showing 12th cousin once removed as they should.
It seems that about every six months a rash of problems crop up in Family Tree. Over the past couple of days people have reported that hints are not disappearing as they were when attached, and hints and possible duplicates won't dismiss. Usually things clear up within a couple of weeks.
I've always assumed there is probably a multitude of reasons why this happens ranging from updates to the website to fix one problem but caused another (a FamilySearch programmer stated on the old Get Satisfaction predecessor to this community that the website code is usually updated dozens of times a day), server issues at FamilySearch, server issues between FamilySearch and the user, internet issues, and, of course, the old outdated cache and cookie problems.
I just jumped over to Firefox, cleared all cached data there, and rechecked, and now the relationship to Jarl's wife, Josefine Amalie, shows properly but still not to the two children where it is missing. So I went back to Safari and the relationship there is now showing properly without me doing anything to Safari.
We'll have to hope the moderators pass this on to the proper team so then can investigate this instability in the routine.

I have been seeing this issue for the past 24 hours or so. I called FamilySearch and reported the issue, it was ok for awhile but I am seeing the same thing again with the parents showing related, but some of their children shows "We were unable to find a relationship at the moment." I think the key words are "at this moment". Makes things more challenging reserving ordinances since we need to be related to do so.

I had same issue this morning. Haven't checked to see if it had been resolved.

I think FamilySearch is just generally experiencing errors lately. This, hints not disappearing once attached, and events not carrying over in merges.

Yes, there do seem to be a number of issues. But as I noted above, this seems to happen periodically. I'm wondering if they are working on getting the new Change Log and the new merge routine or some of the other things currently in Labs moved fully into production and if updates and modifications needed for those or other major "under the hood" improvements are causing all these glitches. If past experience is any guide, this will be a very temporary situation then things will settle down again.
Either that or one of their major servers is getting ready to blow up.
I do wish they would tell us but I would rather they spend time fixing the problem than to waste time writing a detailed system analysis to post here.

It just comes and goes, with no apparent reason and usually takes from hours to days to be correct again. The issue I originally posted about is now resolved (a day later) but new situations continue to pop up. This is an issue that has come up several times as I've searched the community for answers. But it seems like by the time it gets addressed, it has usually started showing the relationship correctly again and so the answer is that now it is working. But I think it would be helpful to figure out the root cause because this feature should be reliable. I use View my Relationship all the time and I want to know that I can trust it. Here's a new one from today that was working fine a few hours ago. Mildred Louise Hall - GGCL-TKX. Her spouse is still my 4th cousin but she is now "unrelated".
