I heard that some youth perfer to play video games rather than do Family History. To help engage them in this, why not have video game(s) relating to Family History?

That sounds like an interesting idea. Some enterprising person might want to look into such an opportunity. It might be a good way learning tool such as a scavenger hunt to finding lost or secret information. Once learned they could be brought into the real searching where the fun has always been there. In the mean time there are many ideas already around to involve the young.

Maybe others could post here some other available ideas.

I would think the FamilySearch developers have enough going on, but there are other people doing such things. See for example the BYU Family History Technology Lab: https://fhtl.org

I don't know the process, but third party developers can get read only access so that users can sign in with their FamilySearch account information and have a program access their Family Tree data. Do you know anyone that would be interested in writing a game app?
