When tagging a person in a photo, I can tag by name or by PID & name. What about privacy?

Do I need to let every living person know that I'm posting a photo with them in it? And also get their permission to make the photo public?

    Hello @Kelly Underwood

Just for the avoidance of doubt, the Privacy Notice (https://www.familysearch.org/en/legal/privacy) states that 'You should not … attach memories that have Living Data to a deceased person in a public tree.' So the Memories you attach to deceased profiles should include pictures of, or refer to, no living people, whether tagged or not.

Also, the Content Submission Policy (https://www.familysearch.org/en/legal/familysearch-content-submission-agreement) states: 'Photographs of living individuals, except your own minor children, must not be posted [at all - tagged or otherwise] without their consent.'

Be aware that Public memories are visible to the public whether or not they are tagged.

If you create a Private memory you're OK if you get consent as above, including the ability to tag a living profile in your local tree or a Family Group Tree.

This is all my understanding, if anyone disagrees please shout. The Memories moderator @AmberML1 may have some input.
